Annie Oakley Inspired Vintage Vanity

My “Annie Oakley” inspired vintage ‘One of a Kind’ vanity is now complete and ready for purchase.

I also have to add, these photos DO NOT do it justice.
She is one cool piece. She needs a sassy gypsy cowgirl to fully appreciate her uniqueness. šŸ¤  šŸŒµ šŸ“ šŸ’„

I acquired this piece from a most interesting and eccentric older woman off I35, close to New Braunfels. This dresser originally came from California. On the woman’s wedding day, her sister threw a heavy object at her her head and missed, making a mark resembling a “bullet hole” in the mirror. That was the selling point for me and the Annie Oakley idea was born.
The vanity is painted and waxed to perfection is a beautiful turquoise hue. Lots of scroll work, distressing, and carefully picked out drawer pulls adorn this beauty. Both sides have murals: A portrait of Annie on one, and her famous quote ” I ain’t afraid to love a man. I ain’t afraid to shoot one either” on the other.
Her nickname given by Sitting Bull, ” Little Sure Shot” is painted against a target as the centerpiece.
But my most favorite touch is the vintage leather gun holster, secured and ready to hold makeup brushes or whatever you fancy.
I love a piece of art that tells a story and serves a function at the same time.
